Changing what double-click does

Is there a way to disable what happens when you double click the mouse on a track? If I'm trying to add nodes to an envelope and the mouse isn't exactly on the envelope, Vegas moves me to the start of the event. It really slows me down if I have to really make sure the mouse pointer has changed to a finger before double clicking to add a node. There's lots of tracks, so they're shrunk down so I have about 10 tracks on the window. I hardly ever want to move to the start of the track, so disabling that double click default action would be fine by me. Or can I increase the width of the envelope area somehow so that I get the finger (no puns please) pointer easier?

Thanks
Pete

YOu can increase the track size. YOu can also use RIGHT CLICK to add nodes and you can enter numeric values.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those would both work, but not quite as fast as the double-click. I'd just like to change or disable the default double-click action in a track or event. I do lots of envelope manipulation on my audio project, so rapidly adding nodes by double-clicking on the envelopes speeds the mixing/editing process along. Seems you can modify the keystrokes that Vegas uses. Hoping maybe I can do the same thing with the mouse commands
