Chapter Marker help

I am in DVD Archtect and I am going to Burn a DL DVD so I foundout that I have to put a Chapter Marker in the Video.

So that when I go to Make DVD Tab and I come to the screen that asks me how I want to ad a Break Point I can just pick the option that says.....let program place a Break Point.

And when it finds my Chapter Marker it will automaticly ad a Break Point there.

So what I did is moved the cursor to the center of the Video but I dont' see the option in any of the menus that will ask me what type of marker I want to place?????

Whare do I find this option and what should I pick??

I don't have a dual layer machine .. but as far a chapter markers .. just find the spot you want and hit the M key.

Yes, the M key or Insert > Marker.

From the help file:

If you choose to save markers in your rendered MPEG-2 file, DVD Architect Studio will read those markers as chapter markers.

ADDED: Hey, thebrain....what is the size (GB) of your video after you render it in VMS? Do you really have to burn it as a dual-layer? Check out this thread HERE. As Xander wrote, you may be able to use DVD Shrink to reduce the size to fit on a single-layer disc. At the very least, what about using the "Fit to Disc" option in DVD Architect Studio to make your video fit on a single layer disc.

Well, i haven't burned a dual-layer video disc yet so i haven't actually experienced the process. However, according to the manual, you won't be prompted for an automatic or manual layer break point until you start the preparing/burning process. Only then will you be asked if you want the software to create one automatically or let you choose the point. The manual doesn't say how you choose it, but hopefully it will be somewhat obvious when you get there.

Note that chapter points and layer break points have nothing to do with each other. DVDA apparently doesn't even consider chapter points when deciding where to put the layer break. It looks like the only thing it will consider is title breaks, and these are created by separate source files, not by chapters. Then again, i'm only going by what i read in the manual.

Good point. I would recommend Prepare instead of Burn. I always use the Prepare option, verify everything with a player app on the PC, such as WinDVD. If it looks good, then I use Burn to create the disc.
