Cheapest SDI input card

Is there anything out there in the market which simply transfers digital video using SDI (from Digital Betacam or another source) cheaper than the digisuite from matrox?

Only the SDI to firewire converter from proMAX called DA-MAX+ for $1800 and you take an inherent hit by going from 2.5:1 4:2:2 format to 5:1 4:1:1 format.
