I actually bought the Barbie video kit as a joke for a Christmas gift. I like his caption better. 59.95 at Walmart right now! And it's pink for the Reese Witherspoon collection.
I don't want to offend you, but I don't think that the setup you displayed would be sufficient for wedding videography. Systems like this are generally targeted at the consumer level. While they are fine for an "Uncle Charlie," you'll probably need something a little more sophisticated, if you want your clients to take you seriously.
Even as a backup, as Chris mentioned, this probably won't suffice. I'd recommend checking out some of the cameras from Mattel. Also, I believe that Fisher-Price is about to release a new 24P model that's worth checking out.
Video is an expensive vocation or hobby, pal. Sure, the $59.95 kit looks complete -- but pretty soon, you'll be begging your wife to let you borrow the credit card to buy a Lego/Spielberg movie set kit.
Well, considering that it doesn't really do NTSC but does BARBIE pretty well, i would imagine that the European system does KEN instead of PAL. After all, KEN is BARBIE's PAL.
Remember, "Who shot Roger Rabbit?" - I'll never ever work with TOONS again!!! - They are just too looney - for my crew anyway. . and and AND their eyes keep bugging out on stalks and stufff !. . Very messy actors . . and NOISY too! YOU try and chroma key out all those stars flying around their heads . . it's absolute murder in post . . . don't they understand?? . . haven't they ANY discipline??? . . I'm really thinking of having their Acting Licence/Union Cards revoked. Anybody want to create a lobbying group? -THEY DRIVE ME NUTZ!!!!
