Child parent box change..how do you guys feel?

It’s a small change in 09 a but the box line is changed so now you can’t give it a quick glance while I am editing
I have to go and name the tracks ..but I am a lazy chop and never name the tracks

That little line that boxed everything in parent and grand parent was easier to visually keep track…...i miss it bigtime
Box everything….I like boxes….the viewing window box is a box …my office is a box….my PC is a box….the parent track should be a box

I hope Vegas don’t follow the menu style composite mode

the min max track, parent motion, parent comp buttons, are just floating there…don’t belong anywhere…it gives me that lost feeling!!

Rory, you ARE jesting? Surely? - That just HAS to be a BUG - has to be.

Yes, I see it too. I had to reference back at VP8 to confirm.

Removing the NEW GUI black and grey, is the same. This has to be an invertebrate. Well spotted!

I hope it’s a bug……..Never thought I would ever say that

If you make a granddad track you will see a little dot where the line should be and then the comp inside that will also have the dot so I think it’s a design implementation

Honestly now I have to think how is this project layered and have a good squizz whereas before at a snap ..one glance and you could see how the project is layered
That little line is really important to me

I too am bothered by the missing line. The idea of a good interface is to easily convey important information to the brain in a short period of time. This error/change makes rapid comprehesion more difficult. I sure hope it is a bug.

Definatly a bug I'd say.
If you create a parent>child>grandchild set of comp levels you start to see orphaned columns of highlight pixels when you select one of the grandchild tracks.
If this had been a conscious design change someone would have checked how it worked carefully and noticed the errant pixels.
