choosing an hd output resolution

Hi -

Using VMS 9 Platinum to edit avcdh video from my Sony CX110. The project that I am working on is a mixture of 1440 x ??? and 1920x1080.

For best final output results should I upscale everthing to 1920 or downscale to 1440?

Final video will be burnt on avchd dvd to view on 50 inch plasma.

Thanks for your advise and experiences.

You should render at 1920x1080 at 1:1 pixel aspect. That will give the best render for both file types.

"Stretch video to match output" should be checked in the render step.

Thanks...My video looks great but it came out in .mp4 how do I get it to render to .m2ts?

They all seem to be lumped together under AVC.

Thanks for your help!!!!
