Choppy-Jerky Output

Installed Movie Studio Hd trial on my Pentium 4 with 1.5gb ram. Much more responsive interface than Studio 14 and nice video to wmv output so I purchased. A few days later I upgraded my cpu, motherboard and ram. Athlon x2 620 quad core, msi motherboard and 4 gb ram. wmv output using same parameters and input file produces a wmv that seems to jump and skip and is jerky. Studio 14 now runs great on this same system. Why did my old, slower computer produce much better output file than my new one?

Compare the preview setting of both apps. Maybe the preview playback qualtiy of the MSHD is set to best.

Or, WMP is more optimized for Intel CPUs. Which could make sense, since MS & Intel were seen kissing behind a tree.

Playing the file within MSHD is fine on both setups. It is the final output file that is different.

If you render to another format does this clears up the problem?
