Sorry, but we can't help you without more information. We need to know the format/camera model, the kind and speed of CPU you have now, the amount of RAM you have now, if you setup the *right* project properties before you started editing, if your preview window is set to preview/auto, if you're using plugins.

format i think MXP Cannon HF21 got 2GB memory its a Dell insiron dual processor @2GHZ. Im buying a I7 8GB memory 750 hard drive and 1GB grafics.I did not setup any project prop when i was editing because i did know what to do there. and what is plug ins

Yours is an AVCHD camcorder.

Go to the Project menu and select New. On the Project Setup dialog window, select AVCHD 1920x1080. Then import your FXP video into it.

This should very much improve the program's performance -- but only to a point. A dual-core 2 ghz is a little light for working with AVCHD.

However, your i7 should work just great with it, if you set up your project properly for this video source.

My frame rate is extremly slow between 2.5 -5 during editing playback. im sure this is the reason for the choppy playback.when i just preview the clip it plays then at 29.97 Is this due to the computers processer etc. i was using the correct project settings
