Is it just me, or is this video slow to download for everyone?

It's taking about 10 seconds to download each 1 second of video

Plays out as per usual down here.
Interesting work, I bet it took a lot of time. Might be more captivating if visually it went 'somewhere'.

yes lot of time for prepare the alpha image for backgronuds, the project was render in full hd.
The compost is fast with only one visual, the only chage made in all the video is the global 3dcam.
The visual is only one because the start video is a green screen live djing for a contest no cuts are required ...
I'm italian so excuse my english :-)

Your English is great. No apology required.

But may I offer one minor suggestion. Compost is a pile of rotting plant matter that over time turns into good soil. Compositing is what you were doing with the DJ. That extra 'i' makes all the difference.

Stefano,

Albeit a little long for my tastes, that's probably the best use of the 3D modes in Vegas that I've ever seen - maintaining a virtual 3D environment with varying z-axis planes is fairly difficult without an overall camera view of all the layers as in After Effects. Your use of this demonstrates still how powerful Vegas' internal 3D mode is.

Nice work, visually very creative.

Thankyou... In vegas there is the overall camera view ! the 3d modes in vegas is very simple, for my experience is better than after effect, 3d in vegas need only...

light system for generate the shadow of the layer
simple particle system or (multy layer emitter)
import 3d object (not necessary)

if in 2d capabilities is added a motion detection...
vegas became the BEST in creative video editing !

take a look .... all and only vegas

Pento,
WOW, that looks very good.

As for your wish list for Vegas.

Would be nice to have all those things but I think we should keep in mind that much of the real power in AE comes from the 3rd party plugins. What is probably a more relevant wish is for Vegas to make it possible for 3rd parties to be able to offer those plugins.
At the same time if you don't like AE there's also Mirage, which at one time was offered at a substantial discount to Vegas users.

you say "much of the real power in AE comes from the 3rd party plugins" and it's because i think vegas is better ... I think AE it's only a great 3d video platform (and too much expensive), without 3rd party plugins, you can do very simple skills... I hope one day we can use trapcode plugins in vegas, then i've all i need for doing everything.
May be i'm wrong about vegas vs AE i don't want people think i'm crazy :-) this is my opinion.
MIRAGE i never hear this software before, it seams to be great in 2d editing and effect it's very enteristing... but at first look to the video tutorials, i don't like his interface, so before judge, i must try demo version.

thankyou Bob

ciao

p.s. example of hand make motion traking in vegas, it's digital curriculum very simple and made in restrict time.
