Chroma Key and Fading (or cross fading)

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this and found a solution or work around. I've used chroma key to green screen a video and overlay it on a background. At this point the video looks great and produces properly.

However, I wanted to add a title screen before the chroma keyed video and then a cross fade into the video. When I do that you can see the chroma key kinda fades in so I get some black background artifacts during the transition from title to video as the video fades in.

Has anyone encountered this before and found a work around?

How about putting the title screen on a separate track above the video, then simply fading that out at the appropriate time. That way the chroma key effect will be complete in a non-faded condition before it's output is combined with the title fading out.

That's kinda what I was thinking of doing and that should do the trick as a good work around.. Thanks..
