Chroma key filter plug in?

I'm using the demo version of Video Factory 2. The help file show a plug in filter called chroma key; but it's not in the effects menu. Where is it? Is it part of the final version? How do I get it?

2nd question. I've been trying MGI' Videomaker SE, Pinnacle's Studio 7 SE and others. MGI is limited. Studio 7 crashes often. I hear their final versions are no better. Is Video factory stable? It certainly has features the others are lacking.

I've never seen the chroma key plugin mentioned in the VF 2 documentation but I remember seeing it in VF 1 documentation.

In either case, chroma key is not included with any version of Video Factory.

If you need chroma key, you can use VF's big brother, Vegas Video 2.

Personally, I would like to see chroma key in VF in the future. I saw limited chroma key capabilities in Magix's Video Deluxe ($50) and MainConcepts' MainActor ($100). Of course I think Video Factory is better than either of those other editors ;)

One of the reasons I like VF better is that it is pretty stable (especially compared to the notoriously crash happy Adobe Premiere I was using before). That is not to say VF has never crashed on me before, but considering how much time I spend editing and how much video editing strains a system, VF doesn't crash that often for me. Still, take a look at other posts to see what kind of problems people are having (i.e., mostly print-to-tape problems).

Finally, the folks at Sonic Foundry seem to pretty receptive to complaints and bug reports.
