Chroma Key (V-Screen)

I have recently purchased "Visual Communicator" by Serious Magic and am wondering if SF plans on adding a feature they have available. They call it Chroma Key (V-Screen). Chroma Key is an effect in which a person or object is filmed or videotaped in front of a color background, usually green or blue. The green or blue background is removed digitally and replaced with a picture or any other type of scene available, video or graphic. Visual Communicator's proprietary technology allows high-quality chroma keying during the video capture phase of creating the digital video. Does SF plan on adding anything similar to its capturing technology?

There is no reason for VV to add this kind of a feature, what Visual Communicator offers is basicaly keying and fx real time - kind of like Video Toaster, which is not realy not useful for NLE. VV has a much more powerful and versetile keying and masking features the only possible better option is to use software like Ultimatte.. but that is quite more expensive. If you goal is to do blue or green screening.. then you can do it with VV but it wont be real-time ;) you will have to render out your project.

jmoody: drop the Chroma-Keyer effect onto the clip or track. Use the "magic wand" thingie to pick the background color (note that you're not limited to blue or green; you can use any background color as long as it's relatively even and different from the subject). Place the clip you want to see in the background in a track above the Chroma-Keyed track.
