Chroma Keyer

I have a video that a client shot and they want to change the background. However the background is not solid, is there some sort of plug-in that I can buy that will keep the speaker in frame and delete the background. I tried applying a mask to the speaker, but they are constantly moving side to side. Is there an easier way?

Is your background a solid color background you wish to key or is it something else you wish to completely remove?

Poorly lit backgrounds can be a nightmare without using masks to some extent, but I'm clear and not clear on what you're trying to do.

The background in not a solid color, it's wall paper with some light fixtures. The client has a picture in .jpeg that they want in the background. It would be nice if all speakers could stand still and present, but this client moves around from side to side. Any thoughts?

cinegob has a plugin that you can try. It is free. Do a search for it.

I just read your last post. I don't know that the keyer will help you. Sounds like you need rotoscoping and that is not cheap.

Do you have a still you can post of the shot? -

Wallpaper? Pending color, you're probably stuck with that background.

Is the shot locked down? Do you have any footage of just the background, sans talent?

Cheno,
