ChromaKey help

I have a problem with the chromakey effect. The "talent" wore white t-shirts in front of a standard green screen (Track 5). The chromakey takes the green out, but the background (Track 7) appears to be on top of the actors, not behind them. They were standing about 3 feet in front of the screen. I used the color dropper to pick the green that is keyed out.

After Chromakey applied is here:

And with the background showing through (or over):

Seems like I am doing something wrong, but don't know where to start. Any ideas?

Fool around with the slide controls inside the Chroma Key plug-in. It looks to me like you could pull that out. Good luck...

Thanks, that worked. Had to use the color curve a little, and then work the sliders in chroma key.

You might benefit from reading Keith Kolbo's tutorial Gain a better understanding of Chromakey / Greenscreen / Bluescreen on the VASST web site. He will show you how to use the mask to fine tune a key and use Chroma Blur to smooth the edges. It's a great tutorial for getting the most out of the the Vegas chroma tools.
