The green becomes just black back ground, not transparent. I've tried to get the back ground picture, higher, lower, nothing works.

Could you share a screenshot of your chroma key settings and timeline?

Here's an example of it with 23. The bright cyan is actually green that is keyed out. It would look black as there's no background except that I put a solid color (cyan) beneath it.

Personally I prefer the color corrector secondary for fine tuning color transparency.

I have used the chrome key before, Never had a problem before. I tried it all different settings, nothing works.

@Francis-Resch You've got it on 'Video Output fx' which is the fx at the top of the preview window, this option affects all the events on the timeline.

Try dragging the chroma keyer on to the track header so it is in Track fx or on to each individual event.

I put it on the event in my screenshot and it works.

I just tried Green Screen (Vegas Chroma Keyer) and it worked like a charm.

A screen shot of your timeline would be nice. What track is the green screen on and what track is the painting? The painting should be under the green screen. I use it at the Event level myself since it is not an entire track that I would need.

Don't do video output, put the Fx on the event and put a background on the track below it.
