Cineform and 9a

Now that we have 9a, how is it that Cineform (Neo) now has better compatibility/functionality? I know that there were several posts in other threads that mentioned that 9a would solve something with Cineform...what was that "something"?

In 9.0 there was a bug reading all AVIs at half resolution, yet CineForm was impact more as we can decode at half res. when most other AVI codec can't. With 9.0a the preview half decode speed is dramtically improved. With the new auto quality mode, CineForm playback with and without filters should be a nice editing experience.
