Cineform and Ultra 2

I just purchased Ultra 2 and now also recently upgrading to Connect HD 3.03 .
I was wondering if anyone has tips on Keying HDV as to what the best format is.
I have been playing around with short clips of CFDI's in different forms ie: 60i, 24p & 60p. Thats just got more more confused. so I am sticking with 60i std CFDI's.

then also wondering whats the proper output from Ultra is.
I noticed if you try and change or check anything on the cineform codec configure button it crashes ultra.
It also lists cineform 3 times.
1 says cineform V2.3 but when you click on config its listed as codec v.2.5 then of course every time you close the window you get a visual c++ run time error and ultra crashes.
the other cineform codecs are listed as Cineform HD encoder & cineform HD encoder -2, they have less options.
Bottom line is has anybody found what works best using HDV CFDI's as the keyed clip?

Hmmm, I've only used Ultra 2 with version 2 of Cineform but it worked fine. As for framerate, I would stick with whatever is native, if your shooting 60i use 60i through the whole process.

I have recently used Cineform 3.03 to key the ads in my video podcast. I am converting to 30p during the capture. It seems to work quite nicely for keying in Ultra 2...

Seeing multiple "versions" of the Cineform codec appear makes me wonder something. Did you uninstall Cineform completely before you updated to 3.03? When the uninstaller asks if it should leave the codec installed for decoding in media players, perhaps you should tell it to remove that too. Point is, maybe it's finding "leftovers" in the registry and incorrectly giving them as choices. So perhaps you should make sure Cineform is completely wiped and obliterated from your system, then reinstall it.
