I have been over to the cineform forum but could not locate an answer to question and my registration has not been accepted yet. Nevertheless, I installed NEO scene and Vegas 8.1 can't determine the video stream. It sees the audio but not the video.
Does anybody use the 'Search" function anymore? The answer is both been posted here recently (and on on the Cineform official forum, when you can read it). Now that I've fallen off of my soapbox and recovered my composure, here's the answer.
Vegas 8.1, will not use any 32 bit codecs, except the ones that come, built-in to Vegas. The only exception is Cineform. Vegas 8.1 will not read Cineform AVI files, which is the format produced by NEO Scene, but will read Cineform MOV files, can be outputted by the other, more expensive flavors of Cineform (along with AVI files). Basically, you are presently out of luck, until either Sony provides a patch to Vegas 8.1 or Cineform produces a 64 bit VFW codec. I suggest that you stick to Vegas 8.0c, which runs fine on both 64 and 32 bit Windows. It reads Cineform AVI files fine.
Thank you, I searched and read alot of threads but, did not find the answer until now. I thought I read a thread where NEO scene worked with VP8.1. Oh well, thanks anyway.

I'm sorry, I am a newbie here, but it is precisely those types of comments that keep people from asking for help. If you feel the OP is wasting your time, don't respond. Yes, we should be able to "help" ourselves, but sometimes thread titles can be cryptic, and we may not be putting the correct technical terms in the search box that will yield beneficial results. Off my soapbox now;-)
