Yes another free upgrade for Connect HD users. The biggest new feature is Canon XL H1 24F/30F support. So along with the new Aspect HD 3.4 CineForm again has an exclusive. An added bonus for this release, is that it allows for easy installs of the CineForm decoders on any number of PCs, as licensing is only on the encoder and HDLink. If you need more PCs sharing the CineForm AVIs, simply download and install Connect HD, when you uninstall (for those PCs not encoding) there is a option to leave all the CineForm decoders installed. This also works for Aspect HD users, use Connect HD to add CineForm decoder to all your systems.

Dan, quick question. Lets say I install the trial and I would asume it automatically updates the codec within Vegas 6. Now lets say that at the end of the trial I decide not to purchase it. Does Vegas 6 still have access to the latest codec or does it revert back to the one that was installed with V6c?

If you uninstall everything it will revert, but it will also let you selectively keep the latest version of the codec when you uninstall as a user option. Note: only Vegas is licensed to encode, without purchasing Connect HD you can't produce CineForm AVIs in any other tool. An activated Connect HD gives the much faster encoding throught HDLink and support for packages like After Effects and DVFilm.
