Cineform Neo Scene bugs?

I think there are some people here who are using Cineform Neo Scene to get an intermediate format that is more edit-friendly than AVCHD. If that's you, I have a question: do you see the below issues on your video? I downloaded the 7-day free trial of Neo Scene and found the following, on my 1080i AVCHD footage:

1) Some, but not all, clips are 1 frame shorter in the CF .AVI than in the original .M2TS file. The very last frame is missing from the AVI file.

2) Sometimes, an AVI clip starts with 16 frames of green digital noise (see below), and the audio track is approximately 15 frames shorter than the video track. The original .M2TS clip looks 100% OK in Vegas. Maybe the first GOP had a decode error? But again, Vegas 9b shows the original m2ts clip without errors.

Hi John,

1) Set "Enable Smart Rendering", this may help. CineForm is optionally a 2 frame GOP, and we default enable that feature on the lower-end tools to further reduce the data rate. The pipeline delay for encoding two frame tegether instead of just one, can cause the missing frame at the end. For Vegas you want Smart Rendering on anyway.

2) Send a sample .M2TS to support. We just license Main Concept AVCHD decoder, we will pass it on if this a compatibility issue with the first GOP On some streams.
