Cineform Neoscene

Howdy,

Can one of you explain Cineform Neoscene and how it works in relation to Vegas Movie Studio? When and where is it needed? Don't hesitate to expand on your explanation. I'm new to this.

I've read a little bit about pull-down and its removal, but I don't really understand what's going on there. An explanation would be great.

Also, and off the subject, is there any way in Sony forums to set up an automatic notification when someone answers one of my posts? I can't imagine that Sony's forums don't have this facility. I just can't find it. I'm probably staring at the setting, but I don't see it.

Thanks,

BT

If your camera records in true 24p, then you don't need to remove pulldown. You only need Cineform if you need to:
1. Remove pulldown from cameras that record in PF24 (24p in 60i wrapper) instead of native 24p.
2. You want to edit in 32bit color mode (if you own Vegas Pro).
3. You want to exchange already-edited "intermediate" footage with a studio.
4. You want to archive your edited video in full quality as an "intermediate" file.

For any other reason, the AVCHD files can be edited as-is on Vegas 11 and a modern PC.

Howdy Eugenia,

Perfect! I'm all set. It's nice to know there's a program I don't need.

Thanks for your help.
