Cineform + P2 - File Size - HDD

I have 2 registered copies of CF Neo Scene + raylight so I should be good to go right....well...Im not sure. I have been reading up a bit and don't know if this certain project will work with CF because of file size.

I have about 40 hours of HDV and about the same in P2 so Im trying to figure how Im going to get all this media together and edit it.

couple questions:

If I don't use CF and just try to capture m2t and use the m2t all the way through my project, will it work in the same time line as the P2 footage - or is there some inherent advantage of using CF -- in the context of using it with the P2 footage.

is anyone here using big/multiple bay SATA drives? what are you using? what is the workflow?

I ask because I thought I'd be able to get away with a Lacie 2big Quadra and a couple Granite Digital 2 Bay SATA aluminum enclosures-- but --- it seems like the only way I will get all the video pulled in -- and in RAID 1 -- will be to invest in something like an 8 bay or more enclosure.

why must I have all the media pulled in at the same time? in most segments of this piece, its multicam footage so there will be:

track 1: HDV CAM 1
track 2: HDV CAM 2
track 3: P2 CAM 3
track 4: 3359x1049 pan and scan screen capture quicktime movies

ALL in sync...

please let me simplify my post!!

I don't know if I want to use CF because of file size + crashing HDlink

I have about 40 hours of HDV and about 20 in P2

couple questions:

If I don't use CF and just capture m2t and use the m2t all the way through my project, will the m2t work in the same time line as the P2 footage in a very usable way - or is there some inherent advantage of using CF -- in the context of using it with the P2 footage?
