cineframe 25 footage shot using autofocus

We have shot some cineframe 25 footage in Walcheren (NL) in order to test the autofocus capabilities of the FX1. In the scene with the pug noises, you also hear some his by the FX1 due to a very big amplification. Some equalizer or noise reduction could have helped here, but we left it as it is in order to show what the FX1 is actually recording. Also this footage was shot without tripod and stabilized using the Deshaker Virtualdub plugin. The footage was cut and compressed to WMV using Vegas 6.0d. Sound was generated using Cinescore.

Camera settings where : WB SHIFT +7, CINEFRAME25 ON, CINEGAMMA OFF, SHUTTER FIXED AT 50, GAIN FIXED AT 0DB, AUTO FOCUS, AUTO EXPOSURE, STEADYSHOT ON (HARD)

How big is the file? Didn't come down quickly. In my experience autofocus works very well although I use it only in hard run & gun sessions. Obviously I haven't looked at your sample yet, but my general comment would be to do such a test minimising other parameters that affect the quality of the result. Handholding produces blurred frames and deshaker re-processes the whole frame. But if this isn't a big dump of a file it will be interesting to look.

The file actually has 290MB. About minimising other parameters, I agree completely with you. The reason for handholding is that for shooting these scenes, I didn't have a tripod available. But I can tell you, I find it surprising how well the scenes have been stablized, and I find there has been almost no blur introduced by handholding and stablizing. If the file is to big for you, windows media player can also play it while downloading it, so you can stop viewing after a few minutes. The total time is 8 minutes. I choosed to encode as 5mbit/s WMV in order to not introduce too many artifacts by compression.
