you don't need Cinelook because Vegas has a built in filter called Film Effects. judging by the demo i saw of Cinelook, the quality of Film Effects is just as good, if not better. Film Effects doesn't have all those 'film stock' presets, but the ones it has are great. if you don't have VV3, then check out the demo. you can play with that plug in.
...Thanks Ben. I did try Film Effects in VV3, but I was just wondering if there is something better out there. I am not looking for all the film stocks, I am more interested in adjusting the grain, gamma and color tone.
right now the only third party plugin that i know of for Vegas is Pixelan Spice Master and Spice Filters. i don't think there's anything in there that will help specifically with film fx.
if Film Effects isn't good enough for you, you'll probably have to render your final movie, and then pull it into After Effects for final touches. (Cinelook plugs in to After fx)
I am more interested in adjusting the grain, gamma and color tone.
-----------------------
Film FX for the grain, Levels FX for the gamma and HSL/Color Balance FX for the color tones.
It's in there.
Brightness and Contrast FX (and others) will help get the cine look also.
When you get something you like, save a filter chain.
