Did you get the install serial number in the box? I'm waiting for the box, have the trial on my computer, but when I bought it, no serial number was given me. I'm assuming it will come with the box.
mark-woollard wrote on 9/15/2006, 6:00 PM
You were lucky. You got both theme packs. My shipment had only one box, one disc and no serial number for Cinescore.

Talked to Customer Service today. They had no immediate answer, saying the shipping guy was out to lunch. They said they'd email an answer once he returned. Must have been a long lunch today. Still no email.

He is obvously on a long lunch break---I wanted to order it but I am a bit leery---Can you tell us what happened?

Jerry , I've got the same problem as you.
I looked through the package thinking this had to be a mistake but no sign of anything resembling a Cinescore serial number anywhere.
I expected to see a B/O (back order) next to CInescore on the packing slip but all it said was N/A :-(
I even checked on the My Orders of the My Account section here and all it says is "Cinescore (Packaged) - Processing".
It would be nice if they'd just post the serial number there so I could download it and start using it.

Interesting. Maybe the reason for the discount?
rs170a wrote on 9/15/2006, 6:48 PM
Serane, I don't think so as my order page clearyl says "Cinescore + Two Theme Packs". I've already received the two Theme packs but still no CInescore :-(

edit: Maybe TSA is loaning workers to the post office :-)

From my email copy of the order:

1x Cinescore (Packaged) @ $149.95
1x Pass the Ring @ FREE
1x Incredible Vistas @ FREE

Haven't gotten the package yet, though. I would just call them. They should correct it right away.

Edited: sorry, my reply was really dumb. If it wasn't in the package, they should have a shipping record, regardless if the "guy" was out to lunch. If you got the package, but no serial #, who ever answers the phone should be able to handle it.

I will let you know what I get, when I get it. (says it shipped)

rs170a, I was joking (in a rather obtuse manner). I've accepted the same deal, so I'll be checking the box with interest!

I just purchased the upgrade and Cinescore a few minutes ago. It showed everything "In Stock" . I'll be checking the box with much interest.

Upgraded a $57 used copy of Vegas 4 (cheaper tham upgrading my VMS6) so I'm a happy :)

Like Serena, I'm waiting on the underside of the planet for Cinescore to arrive.

I must admit, I didn't intend buying it originally - I generally compose my own original music, but two things contributed to an "impulse" buy the other day:

1. Spot, a consumate musician saying how he found it useful for quick results.

2. The sudden $100 drop in expected upgrade price for V7 + DVDA4 made it painless to pick up Cinescore at $150 or so ...
Serena wrote on 9/16/2006, 1:13 AM
Yes, Spot's words are very influencial! Pursuaded me, too.

No serial number, just the two themes. Did not get a chance to call Sony. I must admit I am not overly impressed with the themes so far. I do not do weddings, and there doesn't seem to be many up tempo clips in the other theme. This may be due to not having much experience with it yet.....

Yes, my order arrived with "Pass the Ring" and "Incredible Vistas" (which is really great, I think), but no Cinescore disk. I raised it with Customer Support and got back this reply:

"Thanks for writing.

I apologize, that will be arriving seperately because we have run out of copies for one week. We were not anticipating the popularity of the special offer. This will be coming very soon.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have follow up questions or need further assistance with this issue, please update this incident.

Sincerely,"

Hope this helps - I am assuming from this that all those that are missing their copies will get them soon. Sony seem to have caught themselves out with this offer ...

Hm,
for the first time I went for the box and ordered Cinescore as well, too an offer to resist and given the freight costs to down here made it even more attractive. So assuming they've shipped my order minus the Cinescore disk this means they're going to incure another freight cost.

However what does seem a bit silly is that I actually can't use V7 until the box arrives. Would it not be too hard for them to add my serial number to my account as the box ships?

See (silly me) I thought I wouldn't actually need V7 like right away, and then in the door comes a job that could really use one of the features. I've had to field "Your chapter points aren't on I frames" in Venglish several times before.

Bob.

You don't need a box or disc for Cinescore. It should be on the theme pack disc. It's on my copy of Pass the Ring. It's also downloadable. So all you need is a Cinescore serial number before the 15-day trial period ends which should be enough time for the "guy" to get back from lunch.

How much did you all pay for Cinescore, it lists on Sony's page for $175 I believe, is that the special price?
mark-woollard wrote on 9/16/2006, 9:48 AM
$149.95 including two free theme packs which are valued at $99.95 each.

It's that price as part of a time-limited offer bundling it with Vegas 7/DVD-A 4.

Same story here but I got an answer from Customer Service late Friday. I ordered packaged Vegas 7 + DVD and the Cinescore bundle. Only got Vegas+ and "Pass the Ring" !

The worrysome thing was that the Packing slip lookied like the missing item were never coming! It showed I had ordered and paid for all four items but the Cinescore package and "Incredible VIstas" were marked with N/A in the Back Order and Shipped columns!

I got an email reply to my Customer Service inquiry yesterday from saying:

"These items are backordered due to the overwhelming popularity of the Cinescore bundled Vegas upgrade. You will be receiving them very shortly."

Glad to hear there are more folks jumping on this bandwagon, pun intended.

I like most here paid $149 plus the free two pack when we upgraded to Vegas 7. Go support>knowledge base and follow the link in the first item to find this deal. I guessing it's a limited time offer.

SMS wasn't kidding when they said "very shortly". I received my missing items by FedEx this morning.

Thanks Sony.
