Are you comparing to other VCD's, or DVD? Because VCD is *never* going to look as sharp as DVD. For one thing, there is only 352x240 pixels! The fact that your player is nice enough to smooth between them is a feature, some just pixelate.

Thanks for the info, Dennis. I understand that VCD will never be as clear as DVD. Just looking to "fine tune" the image, if possible.

Some say that VCD was developed to produce an image comparable to analog VHS. To me, however, it looks slightly worse, due to blockiness. Where it shines is in the lack of horizontal (analog) jitter. Titles stay rock-solid.
