Clean uninstall: delete "Sony Setup" folder OK?

Since I now own SVMS v8 Platinum, I uninstalled SVMS v6 from my PC. It seems to have left behind a folder: C:\Program Files\Sony Setup, which seems to contain files that are used to update (patch?) SVMS 6. The folders within it are:

DVD Architect Studio 3.0
Online Registration Repair Tool 1.0
Vegas Movie Studio 6.0

Is the folder "Sony Setup" safe to delete? I've renamed it for now, just to be safe. Thanks.

First rename it and launch VMS8. If 8 works ok, then delete that folder.

Thanks for the reply...as stated in my post I had already renamed it. I've deleted it now, when I realized while installing the 8.0b and 4.5b patches that it's the holding directory for the updates.
