I'm about ready to get started on a docu with 70 hours of raw DV. I dumped all the tapes to disk without scene detection because I wanted a manageable number of files, and also cause scene detection will split files if there's a drop out. (I'd rather see the dropout and fix it later if I use that clip)
I plan to seperate the 70 clips into different bins. Most of the first edit draft will be using clips from just one bin. (These are interviews with the main subject.)
Most tapes/files will fit nicely into a bin since the whole tape/clip is a single interview. However some tapes/clips have content that should be seperated into different bins. Is it possible to put part of a clip (file) into one bin and another part of that same clip in a different bin without breaking and rerendering the original file?
