Close Gaps option grayed out

When I try and close all gaps between video clips, the close gaps option is grayed out.

The first project using my GoPro video clips, the close gaps option worked well.

The second project using my Canon G16 videos with 57 clips had the close gaps option grayed out.

I tried a test project with the G16 videos with two video clips and the close gaps option was available.

Vega Pro 18 - Thoughts please? Thanks.

Were there actually gaps in both projects and why?

Must be something wrong with your G16 only videofiles because when all my used videofiles on the timeline are selected it works normal

Thank you, figured it out a workaround, copied all 57 files to a new video channel and the close gap function worked.
