You can do it in Vegas, by inserting specific forms of metadata. There are readers out there that will read the text metadata from the Vegas stream. I've never done this, just have been told by a couple users that they are doing this with avi files. Maybe one of the Sonic Tech folks know how this is being done.

I never thought about adding closed captioning, but it is an interesting idea. It would be a very handy feature to add to any project.

I would be very nice if you could have a track on the time line for closed captioning and it would get encoded right onto a DVD with DVD Architech.
