While you can type in values I noticed that the FX color balance filter doesen't have the nudge buttons (increase/decrease arrows) and only the scruber unlike other filters like HSL and brightness and contrast which have the scruber and nudge buttons. Is this by design or something that just fell through the cracks?

By the way, great implementation of these filters which if you have the patience you can really fine tune scene by scene if your video skills aren't that great in the source video, this tweaking can really improve the final product.
