color correction

some portion of my clips is too red or not light enough, how do u correct a small portion of that clip not the whole clip using vegas 4.

Break your project into EVENTS*, then drag and drop the color corrector filter on the event you wish to correct.

*An event in Vegas talk is typically a scene. You can break your source footage anywhere... into as many scenes or events as you want. Cllick on the timeline where you wish to break, then select split from the edit menu. You now have two events. Once you drag and drop a filter the bottom icon at the right edge of the event turns green as a visual clue. Clicking on it opens the FX work area.
