Color Corrector

I am using VV 5 and have always been able to correct color of video clips by using the plug in function. However, today when I used the plug in, and moved the cursor within the color corrector, no changes occurred in the preview window. Is there something that has occurred that has prevented this function from working?

Nothing has occurred out in the wider world that would cause this.

I noticed in your other post that you were applying MediaFX and also that you said that you couldn't turn off the FX Bypassed function on the preview window.

Media FX do not display in the preview window unless you actually put the media onto the timeline. So that could be one possibility. You can definitely select a clip in the project Media window, right-click to apply mediaFX, and do all sorts of filter adjustments, yet never see a result. It has to be on the timeline. I think it's very dumb and I don't know if it has always been this way, but it's a bug-like feature.

In your comment about the FX Bypassed button you said that you couldn't turn it on and off but you had a choice between that and the clipboard. I think you might want to play with that button a little more carefully because it sounds like you're misinterpreting how it works. Maybe not but that's what it sounds like.

The button is a toggle. Click-on and click-off. The drop-down part of it just determines what the button is actually turning on and off. Does that make sense?

I have only 2 choices in the preview window - FX bypass or clipboard. The only way I can deselect Fx Bypass is by selecting Clipboard at this time. Then I can't use the Plug in either. I am unable to unselect the Fx Bypass button. This function worked in the past - ? time to reinstall Vegas and see what happens.
Thanks

So the "half and half" button can't be in an up or down state? You don't need to see those two choices just to toggle the button on and off.

Forgive me if this is too basic
