Hi cervama; you might want to try this link. Just a few weeks ago, I asked this same question and I was pointed to this site.

The tutorial itself is called creating a color pass or something along this line.

If there happen to be other objects in the picture that are the same colour as the flower, you can restrict the effect of the mask (The Parent Track1) by applying the cookie cutter to isolate the flower(s).

You can also make the flower a color that nothing else is, desaturate everything else, then change the flower color to the color you want. (secondary color corrector)
