Color Grading Panel not doing anything

Hi all

So I selected a point on the track, hit alt g to bring up the color grading panel, i adjust the slider up as my footage is backlit, but nothing happens! chatgpt once again has me going around in circles.

Did you select the video event under the cursor?

yes, i left click the video segment if that is what you are asking, then i select color grading, the panel comes up but nothing changes when i use the slider

@ericsportMake sure you didn't disable FX preview in the Preview window.

Which slider? Seems to work fine for me. I tested with the sliders shown here. Could the "bypass" button be turned on? That makes it not appear to work.
