My quick fix suggestion would be to duplicate the clip on another track, use a mask to isolate that area of her face on the top track and completely desaturate that segment.

Thanks...that put me on the right track (no pun intended). I used a Bezier and a B&W clip to block out the 'red' nose.

another option is to use the 6 colour CC plugin (free) it has a built in red pass...

IMO, vegas' secondary CC would do a better job.

2- You might get slightly better results in de-saturating with the color corrector instead of the black and white filter. They use different algorithms for de-saturating, whereas the CC and secondary CC should be doing the same thing.
