I'm pretty new to this software and I could use some help.
I rendered out a small portion to take to a special effects program. I used AVI and UNCOMPRESSED as my options. The render worked fine, however the rendered clip has a yellow cast when compared to the original footage on the timeline.
There were no effects or anything else applied to the clip.
From what I understand with reading, the render should have been an exact duplicate of the original when using the settings I did. What am I doing wrong here? The rendered footage is unusable to add the effects and drop back into the timeline. The colour difference is too great.
Help anyone?
Edited to add: I know now this is to do with the preview window. I had a HSL FX added to the preview window which was not added to any of the timeline so the render was proper, just not previewing correctly, but now I have to ask how can I be sure that what I see in the preview window is what it will really look like when I render it? I thought the preview window displayed everything properly as per what is in the time line, but if filters can be added to the preview window then why? I'm still a bit confused, just not about the exact same thing.
Thanks.
Bart
