Colour matching

I have footage of the same scenes from two different Canon cameras and I want to combine therm into one movie. The colour settings used for the footage are visibly different.

What's the best way to get the footage looking the same?

You do it manually, using Curves or Color Correction plugins.

You should have setup the two cameras the same way during shooting.

The two cameras were set up by different people - recording a birthday party!

I eventually did it manually using the HSL adjust plug-in after trying the other two you mention.
