Combine multiple sequences/projects

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything with the search terms i tried, but what is the best way to combine multiple sequences? If I create separate projects, e.g. one project per scene, is there an easy way to bring them all together into a single project, without having to render each project (I don't want to lose any information at this stage)

Vegas 6 introduced nested projects. You compose each project and save them. This creates a VEG file for each project. Then, at the end, you put each VEG file on the timeline and they act just like media files. You can then arrange them in the order you want -- even modify them further -- and then render the whole lot of them.

This absolutely requires version 6.0 (preferably 6.0c) of Vegas.
