Combine Video

I am trying to solve the following

I have a video that has four singing heads. They are to close to each other and too big. I want to resize the heads and move them farther apart.

I started by isolating each head and rendering separate videos for each head. that seemed to work fine.

then I created a new video with multiple tracks and resized and placed them were I wanted them but the result is bad. things are jumping around and it just completely messes up.

this is with sony vegas platinum 10

seems that vegas cant handle what I am trying to do. is there maybe a different better way to do this?

thanks

Mike

Track motion on - zoom back on frame to keep all heads in view, provide appropriate background track to fill frame.

Please explain with more detail.

It sounds like you may have enabled animation when moving/placing the tracks.

Here is what i did

i first loaded the original video and cropped head 1 and saved as video. cropped 2 and saved as video, then 3 and 4.

Created new project and loaded head1. used track motion to resize and place head 1
added 3 more tracks loaded 3 more heads and used track motion to place and resize heads.

when i render the video parts are ok but often pieces of one head appear in other places sometimes the same head appears in multiple locations.

But just now i tried again without creating the intermediate head video files. just used the full video 4 times cropped each head and moved and it works.

not sure why it doesnt work with the intermediate videos
