I recomend: http://www.theigloo.com/download.php?request=Japan%20Snapshots

If you want to know how I did any of the effects, just reply and name the flick and the part you want to know more about.

Let me know what you think.

Very nice work. Is the igloo a place where I can post my Vegas video projects? If not can you recommend a place that is inexpensive? What is the format you use to post that video, I really like the quality and the ability to expand it to full-screen?

Well holy crap!!! 208 downloads since I posted this. Incredible. Thanks all for your interest.

To answer the questions:

Omegaman:
HOSTING -
Currently, I only post my work and some of my friends'. The reason, and you guessed it, is cost. As far as hosting goes, I get mine for free (I'm in the business) but a lot of friends say good things about this service:

https://www.cyberworldhost.com/windowsvirtualhosting.asp

Paying for a provider gives you good uptime and good download speed but you can also host your own site if you get a static IP from your dsl provider. Keep in mind that DSL has crappy upload speed - they do that to disuade you from running a server.

FORMAT -
I encode just about everything to MPG-1 since all machines can play it and it's pretty good quality. Unfortunatly, the MC mpg-1 encoder really sucks. The ligos one was way better (it came with VV2). Since I switched to VV3, I've been playing with windows media - great quality, small files but you rule out Mac users.

JordonRingel -
Sorry about the freezing - it might be the heavy beating my server's taking. Or maybe your HD's full. As far as not being able to re-download it - that was a call I made the other day - I'm trying to disuade double downloads because it's costly. Between you and me - if you want to re-download it, delete your cookies (or just the one from theigloo.com) and you'll have a clean slate.

Sonic Boom:
Christopher Walkin was actually done with Final Cut. But could easily have been done with Vegas. My brother did that one and he's a MacFreak. Trust me - VV3 can do everything Final Cut can. The music was original by a Toronto group called Legion of Green Men (friends of my brothers) You can buy them on Amazon - great stuff. Tonight I will update the page to reflect the music of each film. It was shot with an XL-1 and took 3 weeks post production.

HeeHee:
Sorry about your error - could be due to the volume. Or your browser. What kind of browser are you using?

Question I got via Email:
I loved the "Japan Snapshots" video, but how did you get the effect where
you have the six bits of video which rotate around on a black background,
great effect, how is it done ?

Answer:
Each frame was it's own track. Each track had the same 'pan and crop' to make it small. Each track had a unique 'track motion' to position it in it's respective location on the hexagon. I used the 'Deform' effect to put perspective on the four sides of the hexagon that were not parallel to the screen. It took all weekend!!!

Thanks again for your patronage and feedback.
