Question: Vegas 6 - Does the the tape name and comments info put into the clip log get transferred into the Project Media area?
My experience is no. I'm capturing clips from Firewire and putting comments and tape name into the clip log. However, when I look in the Project Media area, the tape name and comments columns are blank. It isn't sharing the info I put in the clip log with the project media area. If I put the tape name and comments into the project media area columns, it's only available to that project.
What I was trying to do was capture all of my clips with tape name and comments about the clip content so I could then use them from then on in any project. However if that info can only be saved in the current projects media area, in a new project all that info will be gone and I have to reenter.
As a tangent, I just made the amazing discovery that the media manager is not connected to the project media area either.
