Just finished a tribute piece for a family member who passed away recently. He served in WWII and was married to the same person for 60 yrs (they just celebrated the 60th a few weeks prior to his death - you'll see some of the photos in the video). I'll be giving a DVD copy of this to his wife tomorrow (minus the notices at the very end of this web version).

I thought about several ways to do this but, in the end, simplicity carried the day. I did go back and add a bit more motion after the first version. Anyway, would be interested in what you folks think about it. Here is the link:

The video is about 18 Megs....WMV

Thanks go to Grazie for reviewing this with me last night (actually 1 a.m. my time this morning).....and thanks to NavyDoc as well.

Keith,

That was extremely well done. Thank you for sharing your tribute. I'm glad I was able to help even in a very small way.

Great work Boomers! You had some smashing material to work with too.

I think people should also know that you had spent a lot of time cleaning up the photos and I especially appreciated - after you told me - that you had "created" the short DoF effect within PhotoShop(?), excellent!

You've created a very moving tribute. . . . You know what? I felt that I kinda knew the guy after seeing your video . .

Thanks for the comments.....He was a good guy.

I was fortunate to have nice supply of photographs. He had some really great pictures from England during the war.

I'm going to use my demo of SwishVideo and see how it converts this.....

Thanks again
