Can Sonybody tell me if I really need to buy a copy of Screenblast's little NLE (although I own Vegas 4), just to be able to (1) output to Flash, and (2) have a fast-chromakey plugin? I'm not asking if it's coming up in a future version of Vegas...Just asking if I need to buy the Screenblast product......Get it?.......Juuuust aaasskingggg...........

You could buy it, but you couldn't make any money with the flash files you made (in the EULA. waiting on Sony Legal to get back to me about SB ACID 4). You best bet it to find a free encoder on shareware sights or buy a cheap encoder.

What;s the "fast" chroma key plugin?

1. Good point.
2. There's a promo on the box about a Chroma Key feature that's very similar to the chroma key plugin in Vegas 4 except that it seems to have a bit more functionality in being able to tweak it to provide a better chroma mask...but that's secondhand info, since of course i haven't tried it.

The remaining option is to order the upgrade from my Sound Forge 6 to the new Sound Forge 7 and thereby receive a free copy of Screenblast MovieStudio.

You could do the SF 7 upgrade, but again, you still couldn't use any of the flash files commercialy (ie to show someone as a preview of a video you're working on for them).

The chroma key wouldn't be any better, i think. I know they also say they have red-eye removal in MovieStudio, but you could to that with Vegas 4 with the more power full tools.

Maybe Macromedia makes a cheap AVI to flash converter. There website is www.macromedia.com.

You could also try Swish.

Not a promo, just an alternative.
