Compatable Blu-Ray Burner

Hi,

Are all Blu-ray burners compatible with DVD-A 5.0?

I have read in other posts where some say that it must have the following functionality.

BD-RE
DR-R
DB-ROM
BMDV

What exactly are these. Are they write or read functions.

I'm looking at an LG model at the following site and want to know if its compatible. Also it doesn't have BMDV listed.

Yes, It works fine with DVDA5, I have the same drive on my Rig, great burner and player, It burns and plays BD-RE and BD-R discs as well as the 50Gig dual layer BD discs perfectly, it also plays HD discs should you have any laying around...have yet to burn a single coaster with this drive... and with the price of Bluray media thats very important...
