Compatable Camcorders??

I am new to Vegas, having just switched over from Pinacle/Avid Liquid 7. With Liquid you were limited into the formats you could capture from. Is they any limitations with Vegas. I plan to buy a new HD camcorder and want to make sure make sure it uses a format that I can capture from. Is there anything like a compatibility list of camcorders?

Vegas is a good choise - welcome :-)

As far as I know the only 2 formats you can capture is DV and HDV via firewire. There are though different other formats you can import, like AVCHD XDCam etc.

Your PC looks pretty cool and up to most modern formats.

I would surf arround this forum and read the different thread reg. compatibility with different formats.

The bottom of the Technical Specifications page has a list of supported file formats.
