You can open and render to the Canopus codec, but that's it. No hardware compatibility-

I have a turnkey winzk dual athlon DVstorm that was set up using ACPI and shared IRQ's. I get occasional blues screen crashes in Vegas with an error message that indicates some conflict with MS codec. My OHCI shares IRQ 18 with my video card which I have been told is very bad, but the person who I bought the Storm from can only guarantee my Storm set up, which works fine.

None of your video components can share IRQ's.
Go to control panel/hardware/remove EVERY thing that is hardware except your hard drives, CD burner, IDE controllers. In other words, remove OHCI, Canopus, sound card, NIC, ACPI, modem, gameport, etc.
DO NOT REBOOT! (nothing happens if you do, except that you will have to do the above again)
Then, right click and select "scan for hardware changes" and this *usually* will reinstall all hardware without conflicts.
