I can't give you a definitive answer because i won't touch ME with a 10 fathom pole, but generally anything that runs under 98SE should be fine with ME too.

Thanks Chienworks, but I have had the experience of software that did not run under ME, so I want to be sure. Video Factory runs fine under ME, so I feel safe that Screenblast will too, but.....
I have had good luck with ME. I know it has got a bad rap, but mine is very stable.
Now this is very interesting . . . hmmm... Sony have a product which won't work on ME - Did the other guy just blink - eh?
Oh well, time to upgrade, but not yet hey?
Grazie

I just got my response back from Tech Support, they said the same thing. Screenblast is not supported under ME. I have learned not to take this for granted.
Sounds like its time to upgrade to at least XP Home edition. I just did this last month and it wasn’t so bad. I like XP Home a lot better than WinMe. My computer boots faster, shuts down faster and, in general, runs faster. It captures flawlessly with no dropped frames without even tweaking anything. And the best thing is, I reconfigured my hard drives for NTFS and kissed the 4GB limit good bye. It’s really not that bad.

JohnnyRoy, appreciate the comment, but my computer with ME does everything you said except NTFS. (with a little tweaking) Since most of my projects are less than 15 minutes, I have not found this to be a big issue.
I am sure I will upgrade to XP soon, but I have to do some hardware upgrades also. My sound card and printer are not supported by XP. Plus now I have two computers and with the Registration procedure of XP, I can't afford to load it on both.
I am always a generation or two behind in software and hardware. Its how I can afford this hobby. Otherwise, I would just watch TV all of the time. :)
Another option for ME users is to UPgrade to 98SE ;)
Yes, i do consider this to be an upgrade even though it's moving backwards. It looks like Screenblast Movie Studio 3 is compatible with 98SE ... at least for now. However, it won't be much longer before most new software and upgrades require 2K or XP, so the 98SE upgrade is only a temporary solution.

I don't want to be repetitive, but I have been very happy with ME. I have always had a stable system. It works well with all current software. I like the system restore (which 98 doesn't have). I have bought my motherboards based on reviews of stability and maybe this is why I have had such good luck.
I am one of the people that can run Pinnacle Studio 7 very well on my system. I can capture analog and digital with no dropped frames from either Studio, Video Factory or Vegas Video. I do audio recording and mult track mixing with no problems. All of my hardware works well. I guess my point is, I don't have a need to upgrade until my desire for new software that is XP only arises. At some point I know that will happen. I held out with Windows 95 until I had to change and will probably do the same with ME.
But thanks for the suggestions, I don't mean to sound ungrateful. But I don't understand why Screenblast cannot be made Win ME friendly. What is different between 98 and ME that doesn't allow this. Videofactory runs fine on ME. Just a question.
Actually, I forgot about the stuff I lost when upgrading to Win XP. My scanner software no longer works, my digitizing tablet was not supported, my Cubasis VST MIDI recording software refused to install (but I’m thinking of moving to Cakewalk now anyway), etc. You do loose something so I understand not wanting to ruin a stable working system.
I would love to see the answer to Dave’s question as well. What could MovieStudio 3.0 have possibly done to remove WinMe support? MovieStudio 2.0 runs on WinMe. VideoFactory runs on WinMe. Vegas 4+DVD runs on WinMe. It doesn’t make any sense since we know they come from a common code base and there is nothing in MovieStudio that Vegas 4 doesn’t do. What went wrong??? (Especially since Win98SE is supported!)
