Compensating for nightshot plus

I used my Sony Handycam for a very important video inside a theater. However when I processed the video with Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 all the Black gowns are now a shade of green. Which video correction plug in can compensate for the use of Nightshot Plus and return the video back to true colors?

Did you literally shoot in Nightshot mode? That would be impossible restore since nightshot includes no real color information.

On the other than, if your camcorder just didn't read the stage lights right and recorded your video a little too green, the color corrector might be of use.

That's IR reflectivity that happens with many dark fabrics, esp. synthetic dyes.
Your best bet without cutting masks is Sony Color Curves or Primary Color Correcter, work on the low end mostly. You may need a lot of practice to make any actual improvement.

Alternative, and probably what I would do, is make it a black and white movie. Gets the job done, and quickly. But if you want to upload an original 30 sec. sample somewhere, there are some color gurus here who would probably like to work on it and give you their solutions.

Thanks for the info. Rather stupid but I ignored the on screen warning about Nightshot Plus. Will play with your suggestions. Not sure where I could upload a quick sample??

Thanks
