Compiling for Broadcast...

I filmed an event over the course of 2 months this summer and a local station has asked to use the footage for broadcast in exchange for some advertising.

Here is my question, they requested the footage on DVD. I currently have all of the footage archived as Cineform Avi files and M2T files. Is there anything I need to do different than just take the footage, apply broadcast filter and render back out to mpg2 and plop it on a DVD?

God forbid that you should look at the footage after the broadcast filter has been applied...

I'm too busy to explain right now, anyone else want to pitch in?

Also, you really should ask the station again. They may not have expected you to be video-savvy.

Course,

I do intend on watching it to ensure that it looks good on my 2 tv's (HDTV & SDTV)

I will get a hold of my contact and see if they would prefer a different file type- I assume that is what you meant by asking them again.

I plan on utilizing the 32 bit floating point before encoding it for the broadcast. Hopefully that will add a little to it.

Course when you get some time, I would like for you to explain. It doesn't have to be anytime soon, but I would like to know as I think things like this may come up more and more (hopefully).
